Liquid Nitrogen Tanks

The engine that is powered by liquid nitrogen that is stored in a tank is known as liquid nitrogen tank. Traditionally, the heat exchanger that is inside the tank heats the liquid nitrogen helps to operate the liquid nitrogen tank. Liquid nitrogen tanks are not used commercially. The pressurized gas that is formed helps the rotator motor to work. The force produced by liquid nitrogen can also be used in hybrid systems like fuel tanks to recharge the batteries, electric force etc. This type of system is also known as cross liquid nitrogen-electric force. In combination with this system, regenerative brakes can also be added.

In the past, nitrogen engine provided power for cooling food in the cargo even when the engine was off. But as of now, the Lorries and big vehicles use second smaller diesel engines for the cooling process when their main engine is off. Vacker Maldives is an esteemed supplier of Liquid Nitrogen Tanks across various regions of Maldives such as Hithadhoo, Malé, Fuvahmulah, Kulhudhuffushi, Thinadhoo, Naifaru, Hulhumale, etc.

The reversed blending engine generates liquid nitrogen which first liquefies the component of air needed; i.e. Nitrogen. The coolers operate by the help of electricity or from the mechanical work that is generated through wind turbines. Insulated containers are used in the storage of liquid nitrogen. Insulated containers are used as they decrease the flow of heat which is caused because of the environment. The heat makes the liquid boil and changes it again to the gaseous stage. The insulated containers help in reduction of liquid nitrogen that is stored. Using of pipelines is costlier rather than the insulated containers for the process of transport.

Utilization of liquid nitrogen in its real meaning is to reverse the production action. The blending heat engine provides a method to power vehicles and generate electricity. Air conditioners, refrigerators, and other electrical equipments use liquid nitrogen as a direct coolant. The consumption or use of nitrogen is the process of returning nitrogen gas back in the atmosphere.

Criticisms

The criticisms based on liquid nitrogen tanks are discussed below:

  1. Cost of production

Liquid nitrogen tanks, in current situation are produced as a byproduct. It is an energy concentrated process. Liquid nitrogen is mostly produced by refrigeration plants whose efficiency is assumed to be only 50%.

  2. Energy density of liquid nitrogen

Liquid nitrogen has a low energy density in comparison to liquid hydrocarbon fuels. So this liquid nitrogen cannot take part in chemical reactions effectively. Low density of liquid nitrogen is difficult in transportation and cannot be stored in a convenient way.

  3. Frost formation

As liquid nitrogen making process requires heat exchangers to warm and cool the gas, it is not effective in a humid temperature. The humidity in the temperature does not allow heat to flow and the users need to face a new challenge of adjusting the temperature. To allow the operation to be frost free, addition heat exchangers, complexity, weight and efficiency loss must be handled well.

  4. Safety

The efficiency of insulated containers cannot detain the certain losses by evaporation of the gas. If the tank is stored in a highly ventilated space, the risk of nitrogen leakage will increase. The detection of the loss of nitrogen gas is difficult to detect as it is colorless, odorless and tasteless.

  5. Tanks

The tanks are generally transported in insulated containers which are made up of fiber. As the fiber is lighter than metal, it cannot tolerate large number of pressure cycles and blending energy machine. The storage tanks must be made up of metals like steel, Kevlar, aluminum and other materials combining these metals to be safe and tolerate every pressure test.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Vacker Maldives supplies Liquid nitrogen tanks that are similar to electric tanks but they use liquid nitrogen rather than batteries. There are many advantages of liquid nitrogen tanks which are discussed below:

  1. Like the electric tanks, liquid nitrogen tanks are also very useful. As it uses liquid nitrogen gas, less fuel is consumed because the nitrogen gas is recycled and mixes in the atmosphere.
  2. Cost benefits are also ensured because liquid nitrogen can be made anywhere and no transportation is required. The vehicles that use liquid nitrogen can be used more and more to eradicate pollution too.
  3. Disposal of liquid nitrogen tanks can be done without harming the surrounding or can be recycled.
  4. The problems that vehicles using batteries go through can be reduced by starting the use liquid nitrogen gas.
  5. The tanks can be reused by refilling them.
  6. It is eco-friendly and causes no risk or harm for the environment. It can also be used as a fusion or cross system.

The main demerit of liquid nitrogen tank is the insufficient use of main energy. As we know that the conversion of any energy causes loss, electrical energy is lost while using liquid nitrogen gas in nitrogen cars. Liquid nitrogen is not publically available and refueling is not possible everywhere. Contact us at Vacker Maldives to procure Liquid Nitrogen tanks across various regions such as Malé, Hithadhoo, Kulhudhuffushi, Thinadhoo, Naifaru, Hulhumale, etc.
